De NYC a Gratallops"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><em><strong>Lluis Capdevila<\/strong> grew up by the vineyards of <strong>EL PRIORAT<\/strong>, near the Mediterranean Sea (Catalonia, Northeast of Spain). His search for freedom, expression and creativity soon connected him to improvisation and composing. Jazz music brought him to New York, where he attended the Aaron Copland School of Music -with the help of a Fulbright grant- and received a <strong>Doctor of Musical Arts<\/strong>degree from Stony Brook University.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Llu\u00eds Capdevila, de Falset a Manhattan. Y de la gran manzana de NYC al coraz\u00f3n del Priorat, Gratallops<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El priorat\u00ed Llu\u00eds Capdevila va n\u00e9ixer a Falset el 1981. La passi\u00f3 per crear i la llibertat d\u2019expressi\u00f3 aviat el van apropar a improvisar. No obstant, va estudiar Dret a Bellaterra, un m\u00e0ster en drets d\u2019autor a Estocolm i va treballar en una reconeguda ag\u00e8ncia de la propietat intel\u00b7lectual al Passeig de Gr\u00e0cia de Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Amb 25 anys fets per\u00f2, va decidir apostar pel que realment el movia; la m\u00fasica. Al 2007 es va instal\u00b7lar a Nova York per formar-se a l\u2019Aaron Copland School of Music amb l\u2019ajuda d\u2019una beca Fulbright. En acabar, va continuar la seva formaci\u00f3 a la Universitat de Stony Brook, on va obtenir el grau de Doctor en Arts Musicals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A Manhattan ha compartit escenari amb m\u00fasics veterans com Philip Harper, James Cammack i Elliot Zigmund. Tamb\u00e9 amb talents emergents com Tivon Penicott o Kush Abadey. I ha actuat en locals com el Rockwood Music Hall, 55 Bar, Harlem Tavern o Cleopatra\u2019s Needle, entre d\u2019altres.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>JAZZ FRESC I COMERCIAL DIASPORA <\/strong>(2016) \u00e9s el seu \u00e0lbum debut en el m\u00f3n del jazz. M\u00fasica que ha escrit inspirat-se en les viv\u00e8ncies dels \u00faltims vuit anys a Nova York. El nom intenta fer una refer\u00e8ncia a la generaci\u00f3 de joves nascuts als anys vuitanta, que avui es troben dispersats pel m\u00f3n buscant oportunitats laborals. L\u2019acompanyen els talents de Petros Klampanis (contrabaix) i Luca Santaniello (bateria).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El disc va ser enregistrat al juny de 2015 als estudis TEDESCO de Nova Jersey. Es va editar durant els mesos de juliol i agost a SLIM Studio a Barcelona, amb N\u00e9stor O\u00f1atibia, qui ha treballat amb Marc Parrot i Andreu Buenafuente. I ha estat mesclat i masteritzat a SEAR SOUND Studios de Manhattan durant la tardor amb l\u2019enginyer Jeremy Loucas, guanyador de varis Grammys.
